This is my friend Russ Perschnick and his pet donkey, Penny. He raised Penny from a bottle, as she was orphaned. She was in her late 20’s at the time of the portrait. I gave the original to Russ for his 90th birthday. Russ was a veteran of WWII, in which he was an engineer on B-17 and B-29 bombers. He was a good friend and a great man. I still have a few copies of this piece left.
